This conflict between roles is often the most difficult to solve. You cannot be effective at the same time in all your roles in life. Or put too much emphasis on your career and then forget about the family or sacrifice everything for children and you are that mother, who forgets that she is a woman or … you can continue the list.
The secret of a harmonious life is to be in harmony with yourself in any of your roles. This is why it is not enough to desire, but it is important to invest time and efforts to make you in all these roles.
I recommend 3 simple steps, which help me to self -regulate, I do 3 questions weekly, in fact:
- What do I do this week for my children? It is important to be something different from the things we do every day (walks, dinner, etc.).
For example, do we ask the child what would you like to do together? Let’s go to the cinema or theater or in a playground. Or to stay at home and play in that comedy he will choose, to prepare something tasty together, to stay in bed and cover the time that the child wants to turn into children with them. When there are more, like three, we choose one day for each and we have to choose the one who want to do with the mother that day. - What should I do for my husband? I prepare his favorite dinner, I walk the shirts throughout the week, I prepare his sports bag in advance. I invite him to have lunch in the city, I write a sweeter message, etc. There are many small things we can do and will surprise him. Because through these things, which seem to be trivial at first sight, we keep that fire in the relationship 🙂
- What should I do for myself? What will bring me the pleasure of the soul, for example, to go to the room, go to a coffee with a friend that I haven’t seen for a long time, read a book, spend those courses waiting for their turn, make facial or body procedures, or to make a nap … sometimes we have to be selfish, because we always do a lot for us that for ourselves.
After answering all the questions: I open Google the calendar and I reserve the time necessary for each activity, to be sure that nothing will come out of the view.
Simple, fast and efficient. The time invested correctly in all the roles we interpret, brings enormous pleasure. If the mother feels happy and satisfied, then those around her will be happy! Try, you will like it!
