Laura He is 42 years old and is a bicycle coach at Stay Fit Gym for two and a half years. In addition to the certifications of Golden level by bicycleHe has attested by the instructor for group lessons and personal trainers, obtained from the Stay Fit Academy and the ISRO Fitness School.
In everyday life, Laura works as an economist and spends 9-10 hours a day in the office. After the program, he completely changes his vibration, wears the cycling costume and enters a magical world, full of rhythm and joy. In the cycling room, it will help you synchronize with the rhythm, to make an intense effort and release stress both physically and mentally and emotionally.
SFG: What made you transform sport from career passion?
Libbes: I came to remain in vitan form as a simple customer, immediately after blocking, in order to get rid of the surplus of kilograms through sport and nutrition. It was not an easy journey, but after 9 months of perseverance I managed to lose 20 kilograms. I found here coaches who supported me and guided my steps, even if I only participated in group-aerobics lessons and cycling.
I liked the result enormously and I understood that to keep it I have to transform this lifestyle into a custom, not only in a temporary solution. I was not thinking about the coach’s career, but one of the lessons, my coach said to me: «Hey, why don’t you go to Schwinn to the bronze course? Pieta well and I think you can transmit emotions to people, you should try! Feel, the certification is done in two months.»
My curiosity woke up, so I followed the course with I would go Penu, without thinking that I would change the professional direction. I really liked the experience I lived there and the information I accumulated. I learned to know the training profiles and the areas of intensity and I realized where I did well and where not in those 9 months.
It was the moment when I realized that I love cycling and group sport, and as long as I be healthy, I want to continue on this path. This is how I realized that I fell in love with this lifestyle.
SFG: How did you take a coach at the Stay Fit gym?
Libbes: After the course, I went back to the training room and started participating in various cycling events, both in Bucharest and outside the city. I wanted to experience hours with different coaches, at different times of the day, because an evening training is not the same as one in the morning.
The first test was a replacement at the Vitan Club. I had great emotions, which almost paralyzed and made my voice tremble, but I kept my first hour of cycling and it was incredible. The room was electrified and in the end I saw smiling people, loaded with energy, after an hour of high -end resistance. It was the moment I knew it’s what I want to do!
I continued to make replacements and, at some point, I kept the first hour as a support for Stay Fitty. Then he followed the second in Stay Fit Vitan and more hours at the Grand Arena after opening. In parallel, I participated in the Schwinn cycling courses, I continued to learn and prepare more and more hours.
SFG: What is the greatest joy when helping other people to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle?
Libbes: For me, the greatest joy is to see how people achieve their goals and enjoy the process, even if it seems difficult. I know from your experience what it means not having a healthy lifestyle and how difficult it is to get to where you want. Now I can offer further what I received at the beginning and this makes me extremely happy. It is a beautiful mission, which I feel grateful.
There is also the emotional component. People get tired, lack energy, but after the first minutes of training, the atmosphere changes completely. They begin to smile, sing and as if they had their problems. Cycling creates a community, a connection and many beautiful friends have formed in the training room, including.
SFG: Have you had a time when you wanted to stop, in this case, how did you pass it?
Libbes: I’ve never wanted to stop, not even now. At the beginning of the year I crossed a difficult moment due to family problems, but the only place that kept me balanced were the hours by bicycle and the feeling of responsibility for what was happening in the room. For me, cycling study is a healing space, in which exercise is combined with inner peace.
Even when I am tired and it is difficult for me to get to the room, not despair. I know that the magic begins in the first minutes of training, and I trust.
SFG: How can you maintain the feeling of belonging and support between the members of your fitness community, even outside the training hours?
Libbes: I try to offer customers professional and pleasant training every time. The community is developing gradually, but it is a safe process. I remain in contact with customers, communicating information and events organized by Club. I ask them feedback constantly and encourage them to participate in the creation of playlists, to be involved and propose songs and themes. I help them set and achieve their personal goals, trying to be a model for them. I am always available for any questions.
SFG: A message of conclusion for the members of the community, a suggestion for personal experience
Libbes: From personal experience, we have learned that we can get anything if we persevered and add a little passion. Not everyone has to make cycling: we are different, but everyone can find a sport that aerobic training, fitness or functional workouts. A healthy lifestyle involves the integration of sport in daily routine, not just an occasional activity. We have to find time to enjoy the benefits of physical exercise.
Our body is not designed to stay 10 hours in the office; It is created to make an effort and to resist hours of activity. In modern life, we neglect the natural skills of the body, which makes us unhappy. It is essential to make room for sport in our life, transform it into a constant. If we still have passion, everything becomes perfect!
